I bring my experience of 20+ years as a fashion/marketing photographer & designer for giants like Dillards, Herbalife, and Target/Dermstore. In my most recent years, I stepped up as a Marketing Manager for exclusive & fine dining restaurants which included III Forks Steak House, Cantina Laredo Modern Mexican, Lucky Fish Sushi, and Petrossian Caviar & Champagne Bar. When I started coaching I really wanted to create success quickly, I think nowadays people take advantage of that vulnerable position we are in as new entrepreneurs in the marketplace.

So right away I knew getting a business coach could help me and give me a competitive edge, not to compete but simply to coexist in the marketplace. To be seen and sell my offers! Duh!

I shared in a private group that I had sold my first high-end package at $7k. The truth is that the prospect ghosted me when payment was due and finally responded to me via text with a $4k offer. For a year? That would make my rate of about $300 per month, and I turned it down.

I felt like a massive failure and started to depreciate my rates. Truth be told, although I had high-end looking offers, my years of high-end marketing and photography experience taught me how to visually look expensive, on the inside, where it really counts, I did not feel it.

Truth be told, when I thought I made that $7k offer I had multiple coaches and was enrolled in multiple high-end courses. The internal work needed to become premium was not addressed significantly and if you understand manifestation at all, you know we manifest those things we feel intense emotion about. My coaches bragged about my results and I was too ashamed to correct them. Making them also feel like they were giving me the right support. Rather than becoming a high-end coach, I coward behind low-end offers and convinced myself I wanted to have "more reach".

Lies, lies, lies, but the truth sucked.

So I stayed doing business from the fuck up energy. The truth will set you free B, be free now, you can let that shit go... like right this moment and allow your true desires to reawaken, you are a Premium Bitch, so you deserve premium clients, end of the story, today you own this!

You know what, lead by my fear, I lowered my rates. And that worked!

OMG

I got clients, and even at $29 weekly, they got massive results. So I pushed to $99 monthly, then $300, then $500, then $1400.

Something clicked.

The clients that paid the most got the best results! How could it be, after all, at all pricing levels I was teaching and advising exactly the same! BUT now I had a new problem. They were getting results and I was getting drained.

I lowered my rates, lowered my standards, and paid a heavy price.

My new energy around my clients was getting unbearable, the exchange didn't feel fair, I gave so much for a few dollars. Resentment grew and as a result, I stopped attracting clients, completely. Obviously, you cannot attract more great and high-end clients from that energy.

Defining "premium" in absolute terms is tricky, but there is something about premium brands and what they have in common. Of course, a higher price ought to be a defining factor, yet one could claim that a safer bet, is the same quality of product at a lower price is also premium. And so the revolving debate doesn't go anywhere. Hilton is premium in comparison with Best Western for example, but not compared to the Ritz Carlton. This depends on the consumer's sense.
