​Hi, I’m Adjanys Marrero, and I’m not just changing genres... I’m answering a calling.

After years of working in commercial and editorial photography, my focus has shifted to something deeply personal: capturing the emotional power, discipline, and pride found in martial artses, pecially Taekwondo.

This change began when I enrolled my own son in Taekwondo, not just to give him a sport, but to give him a sense of personal strength in a world that can often be unkind.

What started as a mother’s decision turned into a photographer’s revelation.

Watching his quiet confidence grow, I realized martial arts isn’t just about kicks and belts, it’s about responsibility, self-trust, emotional regulation, and sometimes even survival.

In a time when violence and emotional abuse are rising, especially among youth, I see martial arts as one of the most powerful tools we can offer our children, not just for self-defense, but for self-respect.

I believe every child deserves to know their strength, and every parent deserves the peace of mind that their child has tools for protection, discipline, and autonomy.

As a photographer, my work is bold, cinematic, and emotionally rich. I don’t just take pictures, I tell stories of pride, perseverance, and power.
